OpenAI announced it will provide a free year of ChatGPT Plus to U.S. servicemembers and veterans who are within 12 months of retirement or separation from military service.

The initiative aims to support the often-challenging transition from military to civilian life. Veterans can use the AI tool to help craft resumes, prepare for job interviews, explore educational opportunities, and plan their post-service careers.

ChatGPT Plus, which normally costs $20 per month, offers faster response times and access to advanced features including GPT-4 and other premium capabilities. Over the course of a year, this represents a $240 value per veteran.
