# OpenAI Opens DALL·E API to All Developers in Public Beta

OpenAI announced today that its DALL·E API is now available in public beta, allowing any developer to integrate the AI image generation technology into their applications.

Previously, access to DALL·E's API was limited to select partners and waitlisted developers. The public beta removes these restrictions, enabling widespread integration of the text-to-image AI system into third-party apps and services.

DALL·E, which generates images from text descriptions, has captured public attention since its release for its ability to create detailed, creative visuals from simple prompts. Until now, most users could only access it through OpenAI's own web interface.

The API opening means developers can now build DALL·E's capabilities directly into their own products. Potential applications include automated content creation tools, design software, marketing platforms, and educational apps that need custom imagery on demand.
